  • Chris Malone.  Audio Engineer who has worked on many projects to painstakingly restore Victor Young’s music using deteriorated, original recordings.  His work has included a 2014 title for Kritzerland, Victor Young at Paramount Vol 1, rescuing cues from the films Appointment With Danger, The Accused, and September Affair, and Victor Young at Paramount Vol 2, restoring cues from The Proud and Profane, Forever Female, Little Boy Lost, and My Favorite Spy.
  • Kuba Stankiewicz.  Facebook page of Polish Pianist, Kuba Stankiewicz, who spearheaded the modern movement to recognize the forgotten Polish roots of Chicagoan, Victor Young’s music, and to promote its study and performance.  Kuba was instrumental in the creation of the annual Victor Young Jazz Festival in Mława, Poland.  He released a CD in 2014 entitled The Music of Victor Young, including some lesser known tunes, like Everything I Do and It’s Christmas Time Again, a collaborative labor of love with musicians Darek Oleszkiewicz and Peter Erskine.
  • Margaret Herrick Library.  The Margaret Herrick Library is a world-renowned, non-circulating reference and research collection devoted to the history and development of the motion picture as an art form and an industry, operated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Established in 1928 and now located in Beverly Hills, the library is open to the public by appointment and used year-round by students, scholars, historians and industry professionals.  The collections include a Biography File for Victor Young, containing news clippings and photographs, and Production Files for many of the films he scored, such as The Uninvited and Around The World In 80 Days.
  • Michael Moreno.  Jazz Guitarist and Composer.  In addition to writing and performing music, Michael teaches a class on the origins of Jazz music standards arising from the world of motion pictures, including several authored by Victor Young, such as Stella By Starlight and My Foolish Heart.  These tracks can be heard on the Spotify Playlist, and lead off with actual dialog from the films, setting the context of these well-known love themes.
  • Ron Seymour Photography.  Ron is the son of Chicago’s landmark photographer to the stars, Maurice Seymour, carrying on in his footsteps.  Maurice composed a portrait of Victor Young like no other in his vast repertoire including such notables as Tommy Dorsey, Tony Bennett, and Sylvia Sidney.  Young’s unique portrait graces the cover of many pieces of his popular sheet music, such as Love Is The Thing, and Cabin In The Cotton, and even covers of other writer’s music that he helped popularize, like Duke Ellington’s Mood Indigo.
